Ingredients
2 fresh tuna steaks (about 6 ounces each)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 cups mixed greens (such as arugula, spinach, and kale)
1/4 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/4 cup cucumber, thinly sliced
1/4 avocado, diced
1 tablespoon capers (optional)
Fresh herbs (such as parsley or basil) for garnish

Instructions
1. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.

2. Place the tuna steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let them marinate for about five minutes.

3. While the tuna is marinating, prepare the mixed greens. In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and avocado. If using capers, add them into the salad as well.

4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated tuna steaks and grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness. The inside should remain slightly pink for optimal flavor and tenderness.

5. Remove the tuna from the grill and let it rest for a minute before slicing it into thick strips.

6. To serve, pile the mixed greens onto two plates and top with the sliced grilled tuna. Garnish with fresh herbs for added flavor.
